Greetings! I'm Steve Wilson, a seasoned martial artist with over 40 years of experience in traditional Shotokan Karate-Do. Holding a 7th Degree Black Belt and the title of Shihan, I have dedicated my life to the art of karate and the development of individuals through the Christian Karate Association (CKA).

Martial Arts Journey

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of training thousands of students, honing my skills with renowned associations such as Dai Ichi Shotokan, JKA, ISKF, and SKA. As a Judge Class A and a Referee Class B certified professional, I have competed and excelled in martial arts tournaments at the highest levels in the United States.

Contributions to Martial Arts Community

Beyond the dojo, I have authored several books on martial arts, produced a vast library of reference videos for Shotokan enthusiasts, and launched multiple training video courses to share my knowledge with a global audience. My wife, Jennifer Wilson, a chief instructor alongside me at CKA, has been instrumental in shaping the comprehensive CKA curriculum over our 30 years of collaboration.

Academic and Diverse Expertise

In addition to my martial arts achievements, I hold a PhD in Christian Counseling, embodying a holistic approach to personal development. As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Instructor with 13 specialty course certifications and an Emergency First Response Instructor, I am passionate about exploring the ocean.

Vision and Personal Life

My vision for CKA extends worldwide, aspiring to establish schools in every country to impact lives positively. Through CKA, we aim to bring individuals closer to Christ while fostering qualities like confidence and self-control. Outside of my professional pursuits, I cherish moments with my family, indulge in beach walks, revel in snorkeling adventures, and maintain an active lifestyle through regular workouts.

My Family

I am currently living in the beautiful US Virgin Islands with my cherished wife, Jennifer. Together, we are proud parents to five children, with three still residing with us. Our family also includes a faithful dog and three feline friends. Living on the same property are my parents, Steve & Verlene Wilson, who have been integral to the growth of CKA over the years and have been our greatest supporters.
