About Me: Jennifer Wilson - Nurturing Souls Through Christian Karate

I'm Jennifer Wilson, the Assistant Chief Instructor and Co-Founder of the Christian Karate Association. With over 25 years of practice in traditional Shotokan Karate-do, I hold a 4th Degree Black Belt and the title of Shihan. My journey has been enriched by participating in various tournaments, training with our students and training my children.

My true calling lies in the coordination behind the scenes, ensuring the seamless operation of the Christian Karate Association alongside my husband, Chief Instructor Steve Wilson.

Collaborating with Steve, we've designed the entire CKA curriculum, a program that serves as a platform for spreading the message of Christ while fostering values like confidence and self-control in our students.

My academic pursuits include a Doctorate in Ministry, coupled with extensive studies in personal fitness and nutrition. I advocate for holistic health practices, aiding many within our association in achieving their dietary and nutritional aspirations.

A significant aspect of my work is the creation and enhancement of the CKA Jr. program, now known as KidFit Karate. Through hands-on teaching and the development of online video courses, I strive to empower the youth through martial arts training.

Beyond my professional endeavors, my compassionate nature shines through acts of hospitality and care for others. I'm driven by a desire to expand the reach of CKA to under served communities globally, believing in the transformative impact of karate.

In my downtime, you'll find me immersed in a good book, cherishing family moments, and savoring the tranquil beaches of the US Virgin Islands with my high school sweetheart, Steve Wilson. Our loving household includes five children, with three still under our roof, along with our beloved dog and three cats.

As I continue to evolve in my martial arts journey, I remain steadfast in my dedication, aiming to test for my next milestone, the 5th Degree Black Belt, later this year.
